Principles

Tune out all the noise

Avoid notifications and distractions. Turn off all notifications except calls and check applications only during scheduled times. Setup distraction-free environments for the daily deep work sessions.

Systems = Freedom

It might sound like an oxymoron because many people think systems are defined or limited, however, if the system is designed to your needs, it will create freedom for the operator.

Health is wealth

The mind/body connection is incredibly powerful and once you put health as a 1st priority, everything else will click. How are you going to run a healthy business if you aren’t healthy yourself?

Productivity fuels motivation

Motivation helps but productivity creates momentum. Treat is as a loop: get motivated, get productive from said motivation and then get more motivated from the results of said productivity.

We all have 24 hours a day

What matters most is how we use them. Routinely dissect every single hour in your average day then compare that with the goals and desires for your life, reflect, and optimize your lifestyle to bring you closer to them.

Gratitude wins

The majority of us know how powerful gratitude is, yet we often forget to practice it. Gratitude is the ultimate energy source in life. When you’re grateful for everything, everything becomes abundant. Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.

The Four Noble Truths

1. Life will always involve suffering, 2. The root of this suffering is our attachment (cravings, ignorance & hate), 3. Because we are the cause, we are also the solution, 4. This can be assisted by following the Eightfold Path.

Move fast, iterate quickly

Fight and avoid perfectionism at all cost. There will always be more tasks, ideas, and things to fix so stay lean and iterate when the time comes. Perfectionism will drastically slow you down and can even kill your dreams and goals if you let it.

Discipline starts when the alarm clock rings

Success is made up of all your small efforts, it doesn’t happen over night. Every time that alarm clock rings you are presented with a choice: work towards building your discipline and designing your life or you can do the opposite.

Essentialism

The essentialist doesn’t make room for “everything” because they make room for what they truly want. Learn to say no. Learn to embrace turning down things. It’s okay to be selfish and know what you want in life – it’s called self-awareness.
